I was staying in Tarrytown for business and went to Main Street to try the Vegan options at a casual grill. Since they were out of the dish I so wanted to try, I decided to explore other options. Right across the street I noticed Taste of China. I knew I would have no problem getting some type of vegetable dish and went inside. To my surprise, there was a full vegan menu with vegan chicken, beef, and seafood options. What the What?! I proceeded with ordering the Beef Sesame. The smells in the car were delicious and I couldn't wait to get back to my hotel to sample. Once I opened the container I saw mounds of a soy based, vegan beef with sliced carrots, scallions, broccoli, and asparagus swimming in a deliciously, sweet sauce. OMG!!! This surpassed my expectations and I quickly realized there was no way I could eat the entire entree. Dinner for tomorrow - not mad at all!

Living in Ossining this has been my 'go-to' Chinese takeout. They were usually the best, then fell off for a couple years but the last few months they have been ON POINT, I'm not sure if they have a new chef or ownership or both, but man is their food perfection now. Our usual orders are chicken wings w/fries and the crispy chicken combo plate. The last couple times and this one, I've also added the crab rangoons which I notice they use the good ones (shaped like a dumpling rather than a triangle)- they are packed with filling! The food here is consistently good and it's worth the 40 minute round trip drive!! They also do bubble tea and homemade iced tea. The staff is friendly and they have coupons on the menu that I always use! If you're in the area and in the mood for Chinese takeout, I say give it a go.

This is the best Chinese takeout place around here! The breadth of the menu seemingly hasn't changed post-Covid; all the standard, classic Chinese dishes you could possibly crave are available, and Taste of China executed them all wonderfully. The Happy Family, beef chow fun, and chicken congee in particular are delicious. Not many Chinese takeout places offer congee, so it's worth appreciating that this one does! The service may seem curt and (perhaps) unfriendly at times, but I think it's a function of the high volume of orders that this place constantly -- and deservedly -- receives.
